Baysangurov vacates EBU _title_!By Alexey Sukachev
Hard-hitting Russian light middleweight prospect Zaurbek Baysangurov (19-0, 14 KOs) has decided to relinquish his European belt in favor of a possible shot at one of major world _title_s. However, the most possible option for the 23-year-old Chechen native is an IBF eliminator. Negotiations are under way right now but no names have been brought into attention yet. The IBF #7, WBC #8, WBA #11 and WBO #14 ranked Baysangurov is currently promoted by K2 East Promotions. He acquired his EBU _title_ in July 2007 after a razor-thin unanimous decision over Frenchman Hussein Bayram and defended it twice, stopping compatriot Roman Dzuman and Moldovan Ivan Gontsa this year. Zaurbek was scheduled to take on Brit Jamie Moore this September but that fight was later cancelled due to Russian’s health issues. Moore (30-3, 23 KOs) will most probably face Italian Michele Piccirillo (50-4, 30 KOs) for a vacant throne.
