Und Bashir hat z.B. Monte Barrett für seinen WM Kampf gegen Valuev vorbereitet. Steward hatte mit diesem Kampf auch nichts zu tun.

Über Insiderwissen, was das Kronk Gym angeht, verfüge ich nicht, habe ich auch nie behauptet.

Allerdings kann ich auch gut auf Märchenstunden im Internet ala ScaryKati & Co verzichten.

Bashir hat sein eigenes Gym gekründet "Precision Kraft Boxing" und betreut unter anderem auch Boxer, die früher bei Kronk unter Vertrag waren!! Mir ist es scheißegal, was du glaubst und was nicht. Ich kenn die Jungs und ich kenne auch Emanuel Steward und die Hauptsache ist, ich weis es

Middleweight contender Andy Lee announced details of his next fight today at a press conference overlooking the hallowed turf of Thomond Park in Limerick. Steward, Lee Are Still A Team

NEW YORK --- When Andy Lee stepped off the flight from Shannon at Kennedy Airport Wednesday afternoon, barely 24 hours after participating in Brian Peters' Limerick press conference announcing his November 14 date with the French champion, Affif Belghecham, it marked the start of a new chapter in the career of the Irish middleweight. For each of his previous 20 bouts the Irish middleweight would have cleared customs and hopped another plane to Detroit, but when Lee returns to Ireland three weeks hence he will have done so without passing 'Go' -- or in this case, "Kronk," and will do all of his sparring for the Belghecham fight in New York gyms.

To answer the obvious question, this does not portend a rift between Lee and his career-long manager and trainer Emanuel Steward. Since Steward is committed to be elsewhere on the night of Lee's bout -- behind an HBO PPV microphone in Las Vegas at the Miguel Cotto-Manny Pacquiao fight at the MGM Grand, to be precise -- it made more sense that Lee spend the next three weeks working with the men who actually will be working his corner on Nov. 14th. Kronk assistant Joey Gamache, like Lee, is _base_d in New York, and Steward's nephew and aide-e-camp Javon (Sugar) Hill will join them in the Big Apple to oversee Lee's polishing for his encounter with the Frenchman. .....

.................If the Shannonsider defeats Belghecham, he can continue fighting in Europe for a _title_ shot. Although it’s still too early for Sturm, a big money earner against Macklin or Sylvester could be in the cards for next year. Keep winning (“and smiling”) Andy.

Gegen einen Sauerlandboxer, ob da was geht, kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, würde es Lee sehr wünschen.

Lee could be in line for a somewhat meaningful _title_ shot next year if he keeps winning.

Steward-Less Andy Lee Fighting In Ireland Tonight

LIMERICK, Ireland --- As it turns out Andy Lee can win neither Affif Belghecham's French or European Union middleweight _title_s when the two meet at the University Sports Arena in Lee's hometown tonight. For one thing, he isn't French. For another, he isn't a middleweight. .................
Gamache and Lee's brother Roger will work the hometowner's corner tonight.

Lee is 19-1 with 14 KOs, while Belghecham (19-3-1) has stopped just four of his 23 professional opponents. That a size differential extends well beyond the pound-and-a-half discrepancy on the scales was also apparent at the weigh-in: when the two posed for photographs, the top of Beghecham's head barely reached Lee's ear.
