April 23rd, Dortmund – In the fight against Cuban Eliseo Castillo it wasn’t enough just to win. Wladimir had to win in style – and that’s what he did. In the third round Wladimir repeatedly landed his right hand and Castillo was obviously impressed. 25 seconds before the end of round 4 Castillo caught a classic left-right-combo by Wladimir and was knocked down big time. Though he managed to beat the count, he was clearly out on his feet and the referee wisely stopped the fight to prevent further punishment. Wladimir wins by way of TKO in round 4 (2:51).
